10:00 AM - 3:00 PM    Babysitting Class with Pediatric First Aid & CPR - Babysitting Class with First Aid & CPR, Session 4
The Pediatric First Aid & CPR course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help pediatric victims (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Pediatric First Aid/CPR valid for two years. This class provides youth who are planning to baby sit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. The recommended age for this course is 11-15 years old or anyone who works with children on a daily basis.You are welcome to bring a light, peanut free snack and please bring a lunch as well. Class ends promptly at the designated time. Please arrive promptly to retrieve your student from the classroom.This program was developed by Holly Burns and Cate Barry for their Girl Scout Silver Award. The idea for this class was motivated by the girls desire to increase responsiveness to medical emergencies. The girls would like to thank the KeepSmilin4Abbie Foundation, trainer Michelle Levenson for providing assistance and support towards the success of this program.

Due to the 2 canceled games this season, there has been some confusion over the game schedule. So, to reset, Sunday, February 10th we will follow the schedule for week 5 and continue forward.  For the makeup games: On March 10th we will follow the schedule for week 3. On March 17th, the week 4 schedule.Please click HERE for game schedule.Playoffs will be March 24th - we will set that schedule after the March 17th games.This is casual league for students in Grades 9-12. Practices are less instructive and more akin to pick up games. This league starts in January and runs through mid-March. There will be no games either weekend of February vacation (February 17 and 24). Teams practice on Mondays evenings. Games will be on Sunday afternoons at the Center School Gym. Deadline for registration is January 7th. Price $85UNIFORM ORDERINGIf your child does not have a reversible pinnie from a previous season, you will need to order one from Brine Sports. Pinnies are mandatory. Orders need to placed by December 3rd to ensure delivery for the first game of the season.T-shirts, shorts and socks will also be available but these are an optional purchase. Girls on the Run is a nationally recognized not for profit that is run by certified coaches.  GOTR inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.  This 10-week program is accessible to all girls regardless of athletic ability or fitness level and considers the range of ages and varied experiences of middle school girls. Physical activity includes strength and conditioning appropriate for this age group. The season culminates with the Girls on the Run 5k, which is the celebratory event that underscores the confidence, competence, connection, character and caring they’ve been developing in the program and gives them a tangible sense of goal setting and achievement. Our Spring Riding Camp is for ages 7 years old through 13. Beginners through advanced riders will enjoy an hour group riding lesson on one of our 30 Lesson Horses or ponies. Groups are assigned by age and ability. Campers will ride with one of our Massachusetts Lisc. trainers based on their riding level, work on a wide variety of Horsemanship skills, learn to drive with our miniature horses and much more! Advanced riders will work on jumping, trail riding and school in our cross country field - weather permitting. Campers also receive a link to an abundance of photos from their camp week! Special Memories to keep and share!Riding helmet, riding boots and long pants are required for riding. We rent Helmets and boots or sell them. Please call about rentals: (508) 429-1700Our camps are offered as a half day camp from 8:30am-12:30pm with the option to add “on the farm“ extended day to make it a full day of camp until 4:30pm. This is a non-competitive pickup style basketball night for players who want to get some exercise. On crowded nights, the games will be 4 V. 4 and up to 7 points. Each night on arrival, you will sign in.Please note that Sunday games will now be played at Center School, 11 Ash Street, gym is in the back.Program is subject to school needs, holiday/vacation cancellations or closures for inclement weather. Cancellation notices will be emailed. If there is no school, pick up is cancelled. No refunds will be issued for missed days.

Hopkinton Parks and Recreation and Boston Ultimate Disc Alliance are once again happy to bring you a season of Spring Ultimate Frisbee.This sport focuses on "spirit of the game" and fostering positive team building while maintaining tons of athleticism and fun!Read more about Ultimate HERE  Read more about BUDA HEREPractices will be split up by grades. We will scrimmage at the end of every practice as well as playing other towns throughout the season at our Fruit Street location. There will also be the opportunity to participate in 1-2 mini tournaments. One tournament will be held in Hopkinton on May 26th. Girls on the Run is a nationally recognized not for profit that is run by certified coaches.  GOTR inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.  This 10-week program is accessible to all girls regardless of athletic ability or fitness level and considers the range of ages and varied experiences of middle school girls. Physical activity includes strength and conditioning appropriate for this age group. The season culminates with the Girls on the Run 5k, which is the celebratory event that underscores the confidence, competence, connection, character and caring they’ve been developing in the program and gives them a tangible sense of goal setting and achievement. Girls on the Run 5k is scheduled for Saturday, June 1st in Medford. Bob Clausen and his staff offer a fun approach to learning tennis. Emphasis on developing hand/eye coordination while providing an intro to the game of tennis. Instruction covers the basics of forehands, backhands, serves, volleys, and overheads.Participants must bring their own racket.
