Skiing Class
Registration opens on Monday, October 1st, 2018!

The Parks and Recreation Department is proud to offer another year of our very successful ski program to the students of Hopkins School. The program is for Hopkinton residents grades 4-5. Hopkins School students ski at Nashoba Valley Ski Area on 5 Mondays after school starting January 7th, see schedule below.

Please purchase 1: a bus pass and 2: lift ticket/or a lift ticket & lesson combination.

An on-line release form is now required. Link below will take you directly to the site. This is mandatory for your child to ski in our program.



Need to rent equipment?  
Please note, ski/board fittings must be done before the program begins.

Here are some options:

Fitting night at Hopkins School. Tuesday, November 27th 6:15-7:30pm in the cafeteria. You will be renting directly from Nashoba Mountain. This option is the most convenient choice for the kids if they only plan to ski during ski club. If you choose this option, your child will pick up and drop of his/her skis each trip with the ski club.

At Nashoba Mountain. If you miss the Fitting Night, you can go to the mountain before the program begins.  If you choose this option, your child will pick up and drop of his/her skis at Nashoba Mountain on each trip with the ski club. This option is the most convenient choice for the kids if they only plan to ski during ski club.

At a local store. Ski Barn, Boston Ski and Tennis or Dick's Sporting Goods are great options. If you choose this option you will have to follow ski drop off procedures at Hopkins School each of the 5 trips. This options is great if your child plans to ski throughout the winter, not just during ski club.

Detailed program instructions regarding when and where to drop off equipment, bus notes, departing and returning policies at Hopkins will be sent by December 21st.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!! This program runs only with the help of parent volunteers. 

Chaperones: You do not have to know how to ski. Please consider helping for one or multiple trips.
Equipment drop of Volunteers: Needed on Monday mornings early to help arrange the boot bags in the cafeteria.

Times: 2:45-7:00 pm; lessons begin at 4:15 pm
Dates: Mondays, January 7-February 11; no ski program January 21st
Grades: 4-5
Bus Fee: $85.00
Lift Ticket: $170.00
Lift Ticket & Lessons: $200.00
Equipment can be rented through the mountain rental store or separately. Hopkins Ski Fitting night is Tuesday November 27, 6:00-7:30 pm.

Refund Policy
If you withdraw from a program at anytime prior to two weeks before the program start date, you will receive an account credit good towards other Parks and Recreation programs. Account credits do not expire. Account credit will not be issued if the cancellation takes places within two weeks of the program start date. Cancellations due to a medical emergency will have the option to receive an account credit or a refund at anytime with proper medical documentation. If a program is cancelled by Parks and Recreation, you will have the option to receive an account credit or a refund for that program.
