This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

This is a one day workshop for 4th and 5th graders to have fun with STEM! Here the students will have a chance to tinker with supplies and build projects.
There will be a brief introduction to solar energy and car movement. Students will create a solar-powered car that they will keep. They will modify and alter the car with materials like leather, felt, additional wheels, etc in order to enhance the car to be capable of different objectives beyond the stock capabilities of a solar-powered car. In this task, they will learn how to apply a scientific/engineering process in order to reach a goal. Working together they will problem solve and get creative all while having fun!
